The Education Foundation in partnership with Walmart presents the 3rd Annual Scholarship Invitational Golf Tournament. Give today’s young Hispanic generation the opportunity the opportunity at higher education and a brighter future! Funds raised will go towards scholarships and give tomorrow’s leaders a strong educational foundation!
All proceeds will benefit the GAHCC Education Foundation scholarship fund. The event will take place on Friday, October 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at the Falconhead Golf Club. The awards ceremony, immediately following the tournament, will be emceed by KVUE’s Olga Campos and dinner will be provided by Zubi Modular Concepts.
Special guests: Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell, Austin City Council Member-Mayor Pro Tem Mike Martinez, Austin City Council Member Council Randi Shade, AISD Trustee Chair Mark Williams, Judge Biscoe, and Valerie Velasquez, Miss Texas Latina™.
All participants will have the opportunity to win the Hole in One grand prize: a new 2010 Chevy Malibu, a $500 Visa Check Card, a Bose Sound System, or a brand new set of Nike golf clubs! Hole in one prizes are courtesy of Capitol Chevrolet.
All the players will have a chance to win raffle prizes which include a Salt Lick Gift Certificate, one night stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, round of golf for four at Falconhead Golf Club, one night stay at the Marriot Courtyard, a pearl necklace from WhiteFire Diamonds, a three hour consultation from the Critical Update, one night stay at the Courtyard Austin Airport, a set of Callaway or Cleveland golf irons, massages by 3 Cosas, a weekend rental car from Hertz, a SG 2.5 Sky Caddie, 1 Southwest Airlines roundtrip ticket, and a Round Rock Express autographed jersey.

Our Purpose
The Foundation envisions a Central Texas without an achievement gap for Hispanic students. We are eliminating the Hispanic student achievement gap by providing resources to our community and partners while advocating for the value of education to foster a globally competitive workforce. By participating in this golf tournament you too can help this rising generation of young Hispanics by promoting a better education.
