Advocacy

The GAHCC is committed to not only challenging our community on issues of relevance to the mission and values of GAHCC and its’ members, but also to challenging ourselves as Latinos in Central Texas who should take a more active role in the civic life of our community by registering to vote and voting on every election.  While the charts illustrate how much we have grown as a percentage, we are not growing as a percentage of voters who make decisions about critical elements of our way of life.

Whether the issue is related to mobility, improving our infrastructure, supporting our public schools or diversity in contracting, our elected officials affect our lives and Latino voters should make their voice heard – regardless of party and regardless whether  it is a local election or one with national implications.
