Businessman of the Year: Paul Saldaña
Paul Saldaña has spent nearly twenty years involved in local public policy issues. For 10 years, he worked with Gus Garcia during his tenure as a City Council Member and Mayor Pro Tem. In 2003, Mr. Saldaña, along with two partners, created Adelante Solutions Inc. to provide public affairs representation tailored to the culture and values of the growing Hispanic/Latino community in central Texas. In 2006, he purchased 100% ownership of Adelante Solutions Inc.
Mr. Saldaña is a firm believer in giving back to the community through volunteer work, service on various Boards and Commissions and being actively involved in issues that enhance and impact the quality of life for all citizens of Austin. Mr. Saldaña has been an active member and supporter of the GAHCC since the early 1990s. A GAHCC Tejano, he was Chairman of the Board in 2007. He has served on several Chamber committees, such as the Economic Development Committee and Advocacy Committee.
In 2009, Adelante Solutions Inc. was the lead consultant for the development of the City of Austin’s Hispanic Quality of Life Initiative. Also in 2009, Adelante Solutions Inc. was the only minority-owned firm ranked among the Austin Business Journal’s Top Twenty-five Public Relations firms in Central Texas. Additionally, Adelante Solutions Inc. was also a recipient of the GAHCC Capital of Texas Award.
