    GAHCC Capital Campaign

Building Capacity • Enhancing Member Services • Securing our Future

The Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is excited to embark on a significant milestone in its history. Since the Chambers inception in 1973 the chamber has been working on initiatives in the Austin community with the vision to serve and represent the growing Hispanic entrepreneurial class in Austin. GAHCC has grown from an idea and a filing cabinet in the garage of one of its volunteer leaders to approximately 1000 members, a full-time staff of 12, and 21 Board of Directors members who represent the diversity of business interest in the Greater Austin community.

Help the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce own it’s own building by contributing to our Capital Campaign.  You will help us ensure chamber sustainability and increase our members’ impact on the Central Texas business community.

    Quotes

    • Gilbert Martinez, Capital Campaign Chair: “Owning your own building gives you a lot of staying power in tough economic times instead of having to rent and be at the mercy of having to move out or they’re going to raise your rent”
    • Dan Wimmer: “I’ve committed to participate in the Capital Campaign beccause I believe it is a vital step to the continuing process of the chamber.”
    • Elizabeth S. Gonzales: “For the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to have its own home would mean we could expand the work we are doing in serving our members and our small businesses…and 37 years, come on, its time.”
