Kathy Burrell

Kathy Burrell is a Senior Vice President with Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she has served in various credit and sales capacities for the past 15 years, including the SBA Lender and Market Credit Officer for the Greater Texas market. Kathy recently accepted a position within the organization as the Small Business Sales Manager for the Austin and San Antonio markets and oversees sales and business development initiatives for the small business segment.
Her passion for community services has lead her to serve in many roles which encompasses being a mentor /case coach with Leaders of Tomorrow, an organization that identifies minority high school students with potential leadership skills and prepare these students to successfully move forward in their educational endeavors through exposure to analyzing business case studies, SAT preparedness, personal financial acumen and college tours. The highlight of her work in this program came when the group she mentored and coached won recognition at a national level by outperforming 23 national teams in a Harvard Business Case Study. The team members received scholarships and were invited to present their case analysis to the CFO of Dell, Inc and Exxon Mobil.
Kathy also serves on the Finance Committee of Capital Certified Development Corporation where the focus is on Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. She is also serves on the Advisory Board for Houston Tillotson University School of Business and acts as an Adjunct Professor teaching Corporate Finance.
Kathy holds a BBA and MBA in Finance from Clark Atlanta University and resides in Round Rock, Texas with her husband Dennis and son Dawson.
