Education Foundation
In support of an educated workforce, the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GAHCC) Education Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization is providing increased educational opportunities to Hispanics in the Greater Austin area.
Mission
We are eliminating the Hispanic student achievement gap by providing resources to our community and partners while advocating for the value of education to foster a globally competitive workforce.
Vision
We envision a Central Texas without an achievement gap for Hispanic students.
What makes us different?
Through our collective partnerships we can leverage business resources and cultural insights to address educational needs within the community.
Currently the Foundation’s efforts are focused on providing financial support for local students seeking to obtain higher education in partnership with the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium (HSC). The Foundation is proud to offer a Mentorship Program with the Austin Independent School District (AISD) at Eastside Memorial High School. Lastly, through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, we are working in collaboration with the Austin Independent School District (AISD), Austin Voices for Educating Youth (AVEY) and the Austin Area Urban League (AAUL) to serve as bidirectional advocates between the community and the School District.
The GAHCC Education Foundation is a 501(c) (3) organization. Donations made to the GAHCC Education Foundation are Tax Deductible.
