Early Voting Begins April 27th
In-person early voting for Mayor, Council Members begins April 27
Early voting for the May 9 general and special elections begins Monday, April 27, at locations throughout the City of Austin. Austin voters will be selecting the Mayor and City Council Members to Places 1, 2, 5 and 6.
A list of early voting and mobile voting sites is available on the City Clerk’s Web site at www.cityofaustin.org/election. Early voting ends May 5.
Voters must present one of the following to vote:
• Voter registration card.
• Driver license or any official photo ID.
• Birth certificate.
• United States citizenship papers or passport.
• A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement or other official document that shows the name and address of the voter.
First-time voters who registered to vote by mail and did not previously provide photo identification, must show a form of government-issued ID other than a Voter Registration Certificate before voting.
