Frank Garza

Frank Garza is excited about serving the Greater Austin community and appreciates all the trust and encouragement he has received since his nomination. He is founder and president of Vamos Marketing, a full service promotional products agency.

Garza was born and raised in the southernmost tip of Texas – Brownsville.  His parents, from Mexico, instilled in him the values that he feels are integral to his success and also taught him about their culture. This upbringing has transformed into a passion for assisting and empowering individuals, with an emphasis on businesspeople and students.

During his college years at The University of Texas at Austin, he co-founded the local chapter of Omega Delta Phi (service/social fraternity) which has had a positive impact on hundreds of its members and consequently on thousands of people through its community projects. This commitment to enhancing the quality of the UT-Austin student experience earned him the honor of being selected as one of The Office of The Dean of Students’ Dean’s Dozen. This award recognizes the top 12 students, in terms of contributions to the campus community, from the thousands of graduating students in the 900+ registered student organizations. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (via the Business Honors Program) and a Master in Professional Accounting Degree from the McCombs School of Business. Hook ‘em Horns!

He is currently involved in his industry association (Promotional Products Association International) at the national level (Technology Task Force) and regional level (Education Committee). Prior to being appointed a Board of Director for your Chamber, he was actively involved in its Education Committee and served as a mentor at Eastside High School.  He also volunteers with the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium, which provides financial assistance and mentoring to help Hispanic students get into and succeed in college.
