National Sales Manager

Emmis Austin Radio is seeking an outgoing and motivated National Sales Manager for their six-station cluster in Austin, Texas. If you are a qualified candidate and are interested in working for an outstanding company, we encourage you to apply.

Duties include but are not limited to:
•Develops new marketing opportunities for national accounts.
•Partners with the station’s national sales rep firm to negotiate individual spot sales and communicates with the rep associates to solicit national advertising/establish station relationships.
•Keeps current on all national account data including spending, promotional history, office locations and agency-level contacts.
•Establishes budget and plan for attaining goals.
•Generates packages and researches prices for stations to enhance national sales.
•Updates national opportunities weekly for sales managers.
•Attends and contributes to sales and promotion meetings.
•Other job-related functions as required.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
•High School diploma or equivalent required.
•Minimum of 5 years successful Radio sales experience with NSM experience preferred.
•Strong oral and written communication skills required.
•Must be detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects.
•Ability to demonstrate initiative in getting things done.
•Travel required to various national markets.
•Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
