Our Newest Tejano Robert Franco, 2008 Chair
2007 Chair, Paul Saldaņa welcomed Robert Franco, 2008 Chair, into the legendary Los Tejanos. Los Tejanos is a select group of GAHCC Former Chairs.
Vice President of Business Banking for Bank of America, Robert Franco has served on the Hispanic Chamber Board of Directors since 2004. Affiliated with Bank of America in Austin for over 27 years, Franco has played an active role in Austin as a community and business leader. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Austin Voices for Education and Youth and is a long time member and a Paul Harris Fellow with the Oak Hill Rotary Club. Robert is also a former Board Member of the Business and Community Lenders of Texas and a former Board of Director and Treasurer for the Westlake Chamber of Commerce. He has served on various education committees within AISD but is most proud of his past service as long time volunteer for Junior Achievement. He and his wife Gloria are in their second year as mentors at Eastside Memorial High School formerly Johnston High School.
