Founded in 1980, MWM DesignGroup is an interdisciplinary design firm providing integrated, client-focused services through professional teams specializing in civil engineering, surveying, architecture, landscape architecture and governmental relations/permitting. MWM’s principals and employees are personally involved in giving back to the community through outreach programs, professional societies, chambers of commerce, political activities, school involvement, foundations, religious institutions and charities.
MWM’s support to the GAHCC is evident through the firm’s active participation and sponsorship of diverse Chamber events. Roberto Martinez’s participation in the 2007-2008 GAHCC Mentorship Program for Eastside Memorial High School and Amelia Lopez-Phelps participation in the Legislative Advisory Committee exemplify
such commitment.
In 2009, MWM had significant participation in the design of prominent projects such as the Lower Colorado River Authority’s Red Bud Center; the City of Austin Blunn Creek Low Impact Development; Texas State University Round Rock Nursing School, Austin Energy’s Emergency Control Center; Capital Metro’s Commuter Rail facilities; Waller Creek Tunnel as well as the Riverside Drive Corridor Study. MWM’s contribution on these projects emphasizes the firm’s commitment to enrich our city’s economic, environmental and cultural sustainability.
