Joe R. Pelayo
Joe has over 19 years in the Supply Chain organization at Applied Materials. Along with development of the supply chain and customer satisfaction, Joe has often focused time on Corporate Citizenship. While at Applied Materials Joe was instrumental in the establishment of the Annual Applied Materials Capitol Area Food Bank Softball Tournament, and for three years, chaired the Youth Empowerment Gala at Applied Materials with proceeds benefiting Girlstart, Communities In Schools and the Austin Child Guidance Center.
Joe’s community organization involvement includes: Co- Chair for the Hispanics in Partnership at Applied Materials, where he also established a Scholarship Fund at Applied Materials for Graduating High School students, Chair Elect of the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium, Graduate of Austin Independent School District Up Close Program, Education Subcommittee at Applied Materials, 2009 Young Leaders Society Community Service award Finalist, Graduate of 2009 Hispanic Austin Leadership, 2009 Graduate of the Leadership Austin Public Leadership Academy
Joe has further volunteered with organizations and functions such as: Coats for Kids, Manor ISD School Supply Drive, Reading is Fundamental, El Buen Samaritano, Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Sammy’s House, just to name a few. In his spare time, Joe enjoys playing sports, Coaching with Lonestar Soccer Club, live music and spending time with his family. Joe has two beautiful women in his life, wife Krista and daughter Alay
