2010 Women of the Year Awards Nomination Form

Deadline: Monday, May 3, 2010

Nominate a woman that you know who is smart, creative and inspiring for one of the 2010 Women of the Year Awards to be presented by the YWCA of Greater Austin.

The awards for outstanding achievement and leadership in the five categories, as well as a $1000 scholarship for a Young Woman of Achievement between the ages of 15 and 20, will be presented on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. The YWCA Selection Committee reserves the right to move nominees from one category to another, as deemed appropriate. All decisions are final.

INSTRUCTIONS: Winners will be selected based on responses to the following in no more than two (2) pages:

1. Give examples of how your nominee’s work/service/contribution has impacted the Greater Austin area. (Be specific.)
2. Explain what makes your nominee an outstanding role model.
3. Give examples of how your nominee’s work exemplifies the YWCA’s mission to empower women and eliminate racism.
4. List of any previous awards or honors your nominee has received.
