Regular Monthly Events
Power Networking Breakfasts:
The GAHCC offers a monthly Power Networking Breakfast that provides outstanding networking opportunities for business people in the metro area. Flynn Nogueira of del Fuego Companies, leads a 90-minute high-powered networking session in which attendees learn the ins and outs of how to network and how to make it work for you. Each Power Breakfast focuses on a different aspect of the art of networking. The event is held the first Thursday of every month from 7:30am to 9:00am and are open to new members and future members. Attendees are provided breakfast by Power Networking Breakfast Sponsor.
Membership Luncheons:
Networking luncheons held on the fourth Thursday of every month host a Distinguished Keynote Speaker who presents a topic that is relevant to our community. Luncheon sponsorships entitle the sponsor marketing and promotion opportunities via the invitation, newsletter, press release and event day recognition.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies: scheduled as needed.
As an additional service to members, the GAHCC offers ribbon cutting and groundbreaking ceremonies in effort to expose and announce the newly established business to the Greater Austin community. Attendees include GAHCC members, board members and Austin area media. Ribbon cuttings are hosted and sponsored by a requesting GAHCC member.
Special Events
Community Service Awards
The award recognizes exemplary contributions and personal commitment that each of the selected individuals has made in the areas of community development, civic and community involvement, volunteerism, leadership development, arts, historical and ethnic preservation.
Annual Golf Tournament
GAHCC sponsors an annual golf tournament where members are invited to play 18 holes alongside business leaders and elected officials from all parts of Texas. This signature event encourages members to step out of the office and enjoy the outdoors. Proceeds from this event are used to promote and maintain many of the chamber's community based programs.
MECA Holiday Celebration
The Multi-Ethnic Chamber Alliance (MECA) consists of Members of the Austin Asian American, Capital City African American, and the Greater Austin Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. The MECA Holiday Celebration is one of many ways MECA recognizes its members, partners and sponsors for their support throughout the year. Attendees gather in a warm and festive environment all in support of multicultural business.
Annual Meeting
The GAHCC Chairman and Committee Chairs give a review or synopsis of the prior year’s accomplishments. The membership votes in new Board of Directors. This is the largest and most attended networking meeting of the year.
Annual Awards Banquet & Installation
The GAHCC Annual Awards Banquet is the premier event of the season. The event highlights the inauguration of new leadership within the chamber and also recognizes outstanding individuals in the following categories: Businesswoman/Businessman of the Year, Corporation of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Chairman's Special Award recipient.
