History
The Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was co-founded in 1973 by Former Mayor Gus Garcia and 24 other prominent Hispanic leaders. Their vision was to create an organization that would serve and represent the business interests of a small but growing Hispanic entrepreneurial class in Austin.
