Capital of Texas Awards (CTA)

Nominees will be selected upon their outstanding business accomplishments and positive impact in our community. A nominee’s business leadership, notable community contributions, and overall reputation are the criteria in which each nominee will be selected. The nominations selection committee led by 2018 Capital of Texas Awards Latina Industry Leader recipients Theresa Alvarez, Sandy Alcala, Pilar Sanchez, and Veronica Briseno will review all applicants and select an award recipient for each category based on the merits of the materials submitted.


Award Categories

Business Owner: A Latina-owned and/or Latina-professional that successfully runs and operates a business providing superior services for their clients in the Greater Austin community

Community: A Latina that has made a significant contribution to the Austin community and demonstrates a superior level of philanthropic and civic activity

Health & Human Services: A Latina that has distinguished themselves by providing Healthcare services or has educated the Greater Austin community on health-related issues

Legacy: An influential Latina with a long standing commitment, impactful contributions, and loyal service to the Greater Austin community.

Non-Profit: A Latina that successfully operates a local 501(c)3 nonprofit and has provided a stellar track record creating a positive impact in the Greater Austin community

Public Service: A Latina-professional that has distinguished themselves in the community and public interest in the Greater Austin Area

Rising Star: A Latina who has distinguished themselves amongst their peers as they continue to excel and evolve as a future leader in the Greater Austin community

Technology Award: A Latina-owned and/or Latina-professional who oversees and provides a high-level of technological advancements and services in the Greater Austin community

2019 Latina Industry Leader Honorees

Endrica Hardwick is a Senior Advisor Program Manager for Dell Technologies. She has been at Dell for 12 years. Endrica has over 20 years of experience leading key programs in the technical industry.

Prior to joining Dell, Endrica held leadership roles at IBM as a Software Quality Manager and at HCCSA as an IT Manager & Foreign Language department lead. She has been recognized for her outstanding achievements in technical leadership and was also awarded teacher of the year during her service at HCCSA.

She earned a Masters of Science in software engineering and a BA in English literature with a computer science and math minor.

Endrica is on the board of Latinitas. She also serves as a community pillar lead for Dell Latino Connection Employee Resource Group. She has volunteered over 500 hours in the last seven years for Latinitas, Make-A-Wish, March of Dimes, Central Texas Food Bank, Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance, Dell Match Play, and others.

People perceive her as trustworthy, generous, compassionate, and a person who values others. She has a heart for children and a passion to help them grow into STEM careers.

Her hobby is ballroom dancing. She was born/raised in the Rio Grande Valley. Currently, she is residing with her family in Leander, Texas.
