Emmy Alcocer-Hill

Emmy Hill is the head of Retail Deposit Products for University Federal Credit Union, Austin’s largest locally-owned financial institution, where she oversees the Credit Union’s retail deposit product development.  Emmy focuses on the creation of products that empower UFCU members to succeed financially.  In addition, she is an active member of several of the Cooperative’s internal committees who are charged with making UFCU one of the best places to work in Austin.

A native of El Paso, Emmy has always been an Austinite at heart. She moved to Austin in 2009 when she was tapped to assist in the Wells Fargo/Wachovia merger.  Her success at Wells Fargo and work in the community landed Emmy a job at University Federal Credit Union on the leadership team.  Emmy believes in relationships and supporting the growth and success of the people and community she serves.  This mindset has been instrumental in helping her grow as a leader at UFCU and the community.

Emmy is a proud alumna of both the GAHCC Hispanic Austin Leadership and Leadership Austin Emerge programs.  She has used the skills and concepts honed in both programs to become an active leader in the Austin community.  Today, Emmy serves as Past Chair for the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, the second largest chamber of commerce in Central Texas, where in 2017 she represented the chamber before the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce. Previously, in her role as Chair, Emmy had the opportunity to lead the charge in building one of the fastest growing chambers in the country in a mature organization dedicated to the advancement of young people in business.  She has also served on the American Heart Association “Go Red for Women” Executive Leadership Team and is a current member of the Austin Young Chamber Foundation. Today she is in Leadership Austin Essentials 2019 class and serves on the Financial Literacy Coalition of Central Texas Board of Directors as well as the Greater Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
