Mario Flores

Mario Flores grew up in the Edinburg, TX, down in the Rio Grande Valley.  He studied Urban Planning at Cornell University and attended graduate school at the University of Texas in Austin where he received a Masters in Community and Regional Planning.  Mario worked in the city and regional planning field for 5 years.   After spending a few years as a Senior Planner with the City of Dallas, he chose to pursue his passion in justice by becoming a lawyer at the Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock.  He has been an attorney for 7 years and has been a solo practitioner for almost 4 years now.

Mario loves being involved in his community and has been an ambassador for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Some additional community engagements of Mario include serving as chairman of the board of the American Cancer Society (Central TX division), a board member for La Fuente Learning Center, and  general counsel for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals of Austin.  Mario's legal recognitions include being recognized as a "Rising Star Attorney" among the Texas Super Lawyers on two separate occasions.

He has a wife and 2 boys and enjoys racquetball, tennis and embracing his role as father and husband to his family.
