Mike Trimble has more than 20 years of experience in bringing effective, innovative strategies to the public sector for improved outcomes. Mike has provided executive leadership for both public and private organizations, and for the past 12 years for the City of Austin.
In 2010, Mike was chosen to head the City of Austin’s new Capital Planning Office, which was established to provide enhanced planning, integration and delivery of the City’s $3 Billion Capital Improvement Program. Under his leadership, the Capital Planning Office was recognized by the American Planning Association and the Public Technology Institute for its innovative and effective approaches to municipal CIP strategic planning.
Following passage of Austin’s largest-ever transportation bond in 2016, Mike was appointed Director of the newly created Corridor Program Office. Under his leadership, the office manages implementation of the $1.4 Billion Corridor Mobility Program and aims to improve mobility, safety, and connectivity on key Austin corridors for all modes of transportation as well as to support achievement of key community goals such as affordability, complete and equitable communities. He has spoken about the Corridor Program Office’s innovative, smart city approaches at multiple conferences and workshops.
Mike is a graduate of Texas A&M University, is a certified Project Portfolio Management Professional through the Project Management Institute and is accredited by the Congress for New Urbanism.
