Emmy Alcocer-Hill, Tejana

Emmy Alcocer-Hill is the head of Retail Enablement for University Federal Credit Union, Austin’s largest locally-owned financial institution, where she oversees the Credit Union’s service delivery programs.  Emmy focuses on the creation of programs that empower UFCU members to succeed financially.  In addition, she is an active member of several of the Cooperative’s internal committees who are charged with making UFCU one of the best places to work in Austin.

A native of El Paso, Emmy has always been an Austinite at heart. She moved to Austin in 2009 when she was tapped to assist in the Wells Fargo/Wachovia merger.  Her success at Wells Fargo and work in the community landed Emmy a job at University Federal Credit Union on the leadership team.  Emmy believes in relationships and supporting the growth and success of the people and community she serves.  This mindset has been instrumental in helping her grow as a leader at UFCU and the community.

Emmy is a proud alumna of both the GAHCC Hispanic Austin Leadership and Leadership Austin Emerge and Essential programs.  She has used the skills and concepts honed in both programs to become an active leader in the Austin community.  Along with serving the GAHCC as Board Chair as well as GAHCC Foundation board member, Emmy also serves as a board member of the Bingham Group Foundation and Development Committee member of Leadership Austin. She has also served on the American Heart Association “Go Red for Women” Executive Leadership Team and Past Chair of Austin Young Chamber.
