Leticia Mendoza has over 16 years of experience in communications, marketing and community engagement, with a demonstrated history of making impactful change in the Central Texas community. Throughout her career, she has worked for companies providing essential services to Texans, making a lasting impact through her dedication to feeding the hungry, reducing waste, empowering youth through education, and advocating for access to affordable healthcare.
Currently serving as Senior Director, External Communications for Ascension Texas, Leticia develops and executes comprehensive external communications strategies. She serves as the chief storyteller, crafting impactful messages and thought leadership campaigns that elevate Ascension’s reputation and advance advocacy goals. Leticia also oversees media relations, crisis communications, and strategic messaging to ensure alignment with Ascension’s values and objectives.
Prior to this role, Leticia held key positions, including Director of Marketing and Communications at Texas Disposal Systems, where she led comprehensive marketing, corporate communications, and community relations efforts. Leticia also held pivotal roles at H-E-B, contributing to the Texas-based grocery retailer’s community and public affairs efforts and regional leadership. Her professional achievements and commitment to community service have garnered recognition, including awards such as Con Mi MADRE's Mariposa Award, Seedling’s Fab Five Honoree, and Waste360's Women Who Inspire accolade.
Leticia attended the University of Texas at El Paso and has completed leadership programs at Leadership Austin and Hispanic Austin Leadership. She resides in Dripping Springs, Texas, with her husband Felipe and their children, Cristabela and Gael.
