Brittney S. Rodriguez serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GAHCC), overseeing Chamber operations, developing organizational communication and legislative strategies, oversight of transportation and infrastructure industry engagement support, programming, and sharing in successful vision and practices as the leading business resource and advocate for Latinos across Central Texas. Brittney is a seasoned professional with over 20 years' of experience in media & community engagement with expertise in executive leadership, marketing, event execution, crisis management, social networking, reputation management, public speaking, stakeholder outreach and results-driven legislative and business development strategy and execution.
In addition to her service with the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Brittney serves as President & CEO of Grit + Pearl Public Relations, a Latina-owned, full-service Public Relations & Communications firm established in 2016, with a focus on clients contributing creatively to the greater good of the global community. Previously, Brittney has worked with the Office of the Attorney General, the Texas State Legislature as an event coordinator, speech writer and senior legislative strategist, among many others. Having supported & overseen public outreach, community engagement/advocacy initiatives and strategic messaging for clientele spanning the entertainment, literary, transportation/infrastructure, education, political, healthcare, real estate, travel & hospitality, and food and beverage industries--Brittney is well versed in providing an innovative approach to all aspects of professional success and impactful results.
A proud daughter of the picturesque high-mountain, desert Big Bend region of far West Texas, Brittney is a graduate of St. Mary's University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & Political Science. Brittney has received advanced management training in the Systematic Development of Informed Consent from the Institute for Participatory Management and Planning.
When not contributing to the success of the Austin business community, Brittney can be found in the company of close friends and family, enjoying indoor cycling classes, en route to her next travel destination, or taking in Austin's verdant trails alongside her beloved English Labrador, Bixby.
