Karanina joined the GAHCC team as a seasoned nonprofit fundraising professional with expertise in Art Conservation, Archive Management and Corporate Donor Relations. Originally from the agriculturally rich Sonoma County region in California, Karanina also enjoyed summers spent with family in Northern New Mexico, where her deep love for New Mexican and Latin American influences, traditions and cultures was established. As Director of Membership & Corporate Relations, Karanina is committed to advancing the mission of the GAHCC through community outreach, aligning corporate partnerships with the GAHCC and new businesses entering the Austin metropolitan area. Karanina is focused on supporting the Latino population by ensuring community voices are heard and elevated through Austin’s rapid growth.

As a new transplant to Austin, Karanina enjoys exploring Austin through food and local culture, spending time with her chihuahua, Tilda, time spent outdoors, and cooking up delicious fare using locally and seasonally sourced ingredients. Karanina also enjoys bowling and is always on the hunt for new bowling buddies!
